nSI needs intermediate information assurance expertise in the areas of modeling and simulation, security and cybersecurity.
Duties include: (a) Determining enterprise information assurance and security standards. (b) Developing and implementing information assurance/security standards and procedures. (c) Coordinating, developing, and evaluating security programs for the organization. Recommending information assurance/security solutions to support customers’ requirements. (d) Identifying, reporting, and resolving security violations. (e) Establishing and satisfying information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. (f) Supporting customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies. (g) Applying know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures. (h) Performing analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures. (i) Analyzing and defining security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers. (j) Designing, developing, engineering, and implementing solutions that meet security requirements. (k) Providing integration and implementation of the computer system security solution. (l) Analyzing general information assurance-related technical problems and providing basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems. (m) Performing vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle. (n) Ensuring that all information systems are functional and secure.
Qualifications: To qualify for this position, the candidate should possess a BS degree in a related field or have at least seven years of relevant experience. Applicant must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be proficient with office automation tools. Applicant must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Employment requires the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
Desired experience includes: Current security clearance or recent security investigation, related work in a Department of Defense contracting environment, familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Defense System, familiarity with Modeling and Simulation.
