nSI needs systems engineering expertise to support sustainability assessments of sensors, networks and C2 systems; increase efficiencies and add capability to sensors to meet new or emerging requirements.; model/simulate sensors; identify and inject new technology into sensors and subsystems to improve performance, sustainability and efficiency; and support scheduled maintenance of sensors including identification of recommended spare parts, stocking levels, evaluation of vendors, maintenance procedures, and determination of frequency using available data, failure modes and predictive analysis.

Duties include: (a) Providing the analysis, design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces and all requirements to implement integrated solutions. (b) Developing component, sub-system, and system level integrated requirements, plans and strategies for testing, requirements verification and operational acceptance.  (c) Performing analysis and conducting trade studies to optimize solutions and provide requirements tradeoff. (d) Performing a variety of tasks, which are broad in nature and are concerned with the design and implementation of individual and integrated systems, including personnel, hardware, software and support facilities, equipment, documentation and reporting.  (e)Working independently.

Qualifications: To qualify for this position, the candidate should possess a degree in a related field or have at least one year of relevant experience. Applicant must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be proficient with office automation tools.  Applicant must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.  Employment requires the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

Desired experience includes: Current security clearance or recent security investigation, related work in a Department of Defense contracting environment, familiarity with test range instrumentation, the Ballistic Missile Defense System, Space Operations, Modeling and Simulation, and/or Command and Control.
